Branding Materials for Home Grown Books (Unused)

Some pitch materials I prepared for Home Grown Books, a publisher of earliest reader's books, in early 2012. They ended up going in a different direction, but I like these characters and may use them for something in the future.

Home Grown Books is a publisher of earliest reader's books. They were trying to work out a brand identity that felt both organic and urban, so I gravitated toward these city birds.

Pigeon can read a little, Sparrow is learning. They hang out on stoops and fire escapes, reading all day and to anyone who will listen.

The text-based logo in the bottom right is Home Grown Books' original logo.
